FAQ

Are all jobs prepaid?
Yes, due to our low-profit margin and savings we pass on to you as a client, every order is prepaid.

Can I pay by check?
Unfortunately not. In order to remain efficient and maintain our prices, we do not offer payment methods other than online credit card transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

How do I cancel my printing order?
An order may ONLY be cancelled BEFORE proof approval. CANCELLATIONS ONLY RESULT IN STORE CREDIT, NOT REFUNDS. In the case that the proofing method "No Proof, Run As-Is" is selected, the proofing stage does not exist, and the job may not be cancelled.
If an order is cancelled after our resources have invested the time to produce a proof, additional fees incurred will be deducted from the total store credit issued. A minimum cancellation charge will ALWAYS apply after a proof has been generated for a job.

How well will my finished print job match what I see on my monitor?
This depends on two factors. This first is the type of monitor you have, the second is whether it is color calibrated . In our experience, the only out-of-the box fairly accurate monitors tend (not guaranteed) to be Apple Cinema Displays, or the newest line of iMacs. Please remember that all color is relative to the computer screen you are using, the lighting conditions, the display settings on your computer, the paper you are printing on, etc. If color is critical, we recommend you order tangible EPSON inkjet color calibrated proofs.

What is UV (Ultra-Violet) coating?
UV coating is a plastic-like extremely glossy coating that is applied to print to offer a durability and finish not available with AQ (Aqueous) coating. UV coating hardens on the sheet by applying a high intensity Ultraviolet light. This process is similar to the process dentists use to seal molars. If you do not need to write on the product after it is printed, and you prefer a super-glossy finish, this is your best option. Cutting accuracy also is affected slightly as it is hard to cut a stack of slippery sheets, even with cutting edge equipment, and sharp operators. At this time, UV is offered on our 12pt and 14pt products.

Can your UV (Ultra-Violet) coating be written on or inkjetted?
No. This is the only coating we offer which cannot be written on. It does offer a extreme glossy finish, but is not suited at all for jobs that need to be written on or inkjetting (usually for mailing). Any of our other coating options may be written on with a ball-point pen. Remember that we offer coated 1 SIDE ONL Y products that will allow you writing and inkjetting on the backside. Also be sure to check your proofs carefully to ensure the COATING SIDE is the one you intend.

Can I order Pantone Matching System (PMS "Spot Color") jobs with you?
Yes, if you need a job with spot colors please request a custom estimate. Currently, spot colors are not offered on gang run products.

Will I always receive the exact quantity I order?
We will normally deliver the exact quantity of goods ordered plus a small additional amount. There is no extra charge for the additional amount. This extra amount is to compensate for the industry standard variable consistency in cuts or colors. The generally accepted trade practice is plus or minus 10%. In the event of an underrun exceeding 10%, we will bill for the actual quantity delivered.

How should I prepare a file for printing with you?
The basic and easiest answer to this question is that you supply a PRINT READY .TIF file. We recommended a minimum of 300dpi, converted to CMYK colorspace, all fonts outlined AND embedded. Make sure you have a minimum of 1/8" (0.125") BLEED on all edges of your job, and a 1/8" (0.125") SAFE area that has all critical design element such as text, pulled away from trim.

Following these guidelines, and CAREFULLY CHECKING THE RESULTING .TIF before uploading will greatly reduce the possibility of error and accelerate your job through production.

.TIF (Required File Format) print ready files:
• Minimum resolution of 300 dpi
• CMYK colorspace
• All fonts outlined and embedded
• Artwork should have 1/8" (0.125") bleed from trim line
• Information content ("Safe Area") should be 1/8" (0.125") away from trim line
